AI Shouldn’t Make People Less Important. It Should Make Their Work More Valuable.

There is a lot of discussion about AI and job security.

For nonprofits, we should ask another question: Can AI help organizations secure the funding that keeps people employed?

That is part of what we are building with Grant-Ready™. AI can help find funding opportunities, evaluate which ones are worth pursuing, and prepare draft responses.

But AI doesn’t understand a community, determine what programs should move forward, or make the final decision to submit an application. People do that. And every draft still needs a human to review, edit, strengthen, approve, and submit it.

More funding can mean more programs, greater capacity, and salaries for the people needed to deliver the mission.

That is the AI opportunity I find most compelling: not making people less important, but giving them greater capacity to succeed. AI can help find the opportunity and prepare the response. People determine what should be done with it.
