A little over a year ago, I launched Fountain Innovation Group (FIG) with a simple belief: Organizations shouldn’t adopt AI because it’s popular. They should adopt it because it helps them make better decisions, work more effectively, and create greater impact.

That belief led me to develop the StAIR-Ready™ AI Readiness Framework, followed by AIPhaseZero™, and eventually Grant-Ready™. When I launched Grant-Ready just a few months ago, the goal wasn’t simply to build another grant search tool. I wanted to demonstrate what AI can accomplish when it’s grounded in strategy, governance, quality data, and real organizational needs.

Since then, Grant-Ready has continued to evolve through customer feedback, real-world testing, and dozens of platform enhancements. Today, organizations are using it to discover funding opportunities, organize grant development efforts, and generate stronger first drafts in a fraction of the time.

On July 1, we’ll release Version 4.0—our biggest update yet. Highlights include:

For me, Version 4.0 is about more than adding new features. It’s another step toward a larger vision: building intelligent systems that help people make better decisions—not replace them.

That’s the same philosophy behind my AI readiness work. Whether I’m helping a nonprofit pursue funding, advising a small business on AI strategy, or working with an executive team through an AI readiness assessment, the approach is the same:

Think strategically. Build responsibly. Keep people at the center.

Grant-Ready is one example of what happens when AI readiness becomes AI implementation. I’m excited about what’s next.
